Matt, I saved a photo from an event but when I opened it in my documents it wasn't the photo but a banner saying 'our shop' I don't want to tag the photo, I want a copy of it. Have you made it so we can't copy photos?

Select the pic you want and get it to display at the top of the events photo page. Right click on the picture and select "save picture as", save to a folder on your hard drive. That works for me (just tried it) Good luck Em

Check your active X setting then, sounds like you have a conflict wasnt being flippant, but its best to be sure! I'm sure you're very competent.

I've not changed anything on my computer and I've saved photos before, loads of times successfully, I just can't understand it not doing it now. (now do ya believe I'm jinxed?) I feel a 'window opening' coming on...exit one computer, shortly followed by me Look out below!

nope definitely a problem at ur side. When u right click the bring up the menu, it may well add a tag ALSO but u can delete that. If u select to save the pic then it will save it fine. It will only save the shop button if u ask it to save the shop button, which is far further up the page than the event pic. Definitely something ur doing, i just tested it on 3 PCs (Pc, server and laptop) all running different operating systems. Works in Internet Explorer and Firefox (not gonna try all the other browsers out there though) Good luck! :-)

You can always trawl through your web cache and grab the pic from there. VERY long winded way of doing it tho.

Right got a fix for you but not a pretty one. Open the pic you want to save and and then right click and select save pic as. this will tag the pic and the save as dialogue box will also open and will suggest the filename our_shop. click cancel. right click on the image again and the save as dialogue box will suggest a filename such as thumbnailCATMB6S0, give the file the name you want and click save. once the save as dialogue box has gone, remove the tag. the tag is not saved on the image. as I said not pretty but works well and flows well so is not tedious.

Yep, tried in in IE8 and did exactly the same for me.

Thanks for your help guys I attempted it again PP and this time the dialogue box had different text in it, so I saved it and hey presto, it was the pic! I don't understand how it saved the banner before, it's never happened before, it always saves exactly what I want it to. Oh well at least I have it now, and in future I will watch the dialogue box to make sure it at least resembles what I want lol
