Just to let you all know about this *FREE* fun day that my training school are running.
I haven't heard the rock band but I've been told they're very good and it's the owner of the school's own band (he's a man of many talents is Paul!).
This will be a fun day for everyone regardless of where they're at in their biking career but will be especailly good for those new to biking or considering giving it a go.

Shires are pleased to announce they are holding a *FREE* fun day on the 4th May (Bank Holiday Monday) at the Derby site. Activities will be running all day with a kick off time of 10am. There will be a fun motorcycle obstacle course, (all slow speed control) which will be timed. The top two best times will get a free *Bike Plus* day courtesy of Shires. We are also having a Zoomer (moped) fun ride round the obstacle course with free booze for the best time. There will be a bike introduction for anyone who has never ridden but wants to see if they could control a clutch etc...all supervised by a Shires qualified instructor – think *Pre CBT*Part One of the new motorcycle test will be set out for anyone who fancies a go to see if they would pass it, again may be timed with a prize. Also present will be motorcycle dealers with demo bikes for you to look round and have a sit on. There is a pub at the venue with food served all day and there will be a live rock band playing throughout the day for your entertainment. Loads of free off road safe parking is available.Everyone is welcome so tell all your friends and remember it's free to come and join in, just your refreshements to pay for. Hope to see lots of you there!
That sounds like a brilliant day out. The bike-related activities look fun & we'll be checking calendars for this one as my son would benefit from the pre-CBT.
Don't think I'll try the test though, I'd probably fail (as would the great majority of 'experienced' riders out there who think they're the dog's pyjamas when it comes to bike riding!!! Would reckon that somewhere in the region of 80% of 'experienced' riders would fail their test nowadays *waiting for the roar!*
sounds a fab day out even though this is on my doorstep i wont be goin as its my birthday ............have a great day those who are going xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
