I saw petrol at 105p a litre last night and caught myself thinking "Oooh - that's cheap"

No it ain't! It's not QUITE so mickey-taking as 120p a litre, but there's no way it could be thought of as "cheap" FFS!

Make the most of it while it lasts - good old OPEC have cut production quotas, so the prices'll be shooting back up soon.

& the 6 month "delay" in fuel duty increase is over, so good old HMG will no doubt, take advantage of that and slap another 2p on us.... even though they've previously stated they won't do owt til March '09, but that was more to do with having a few nice soundbites on the lead up to the Glasgow-East by election, no actual "promises" were made as far as I recall.

HMG and promises don't mean diddly squat anyway ;o)

But hey - all is OK... BP's just announced a record profit for the last quarter - up 148% on the same period last year. Bless 'em. Nice to see someone's not struggling with the ol' credit crunch eh?

Prices are high because, no matter what people try to sell at, most of what you pay on the forecourt is TAXES!!!!
