Has anyone else returned their sponsorship money, yet have received an email from Cancer Research to say that they've raised £0.00?I have just got that email but I can prove otherwise. Anyone got the name of a person that I can contact to straighten this up? My uncle passed away last Christmas and that was what motivated me to do the run, and I met some lovley people there at Trent Park. But this simple admin error has really tarnished it significantly.
Cassie & my Daughter did the Race for Life in Darlington earlier this Year and neither have heard anything back other than an email saying thanks for taking part in the event.
The website doesn't give anything away about monies raised either.
If we hear anything, then we'll let you know.
It's probably a scam to get you to send a cheque somewhere other than Cancer Reserch (do not send annother cheque!!!!!!)
Wait and see if yours has been cashed on your bank statement 1st!! Then if after 2 statments nothing has shown up ask your bank to cancel it and then send it again to the original address or ask your local Cancer Reserch charity shop if they have a way of forwarding it!

Will let you know if I hear anything reassuring. Cancer Research has written to apologise, it says that they have now amended my records to reflect the correct amount of sponsorship money, but I will still be receiving reminder emails as the reminder emails have "already been prepared for sending".
These reminder/follow up emails do not need to be printed and stuffed into envelopes. So what is the point in making the amndment in my records, yet nothing filters through to take effect in other areas?
