Hello All - I was just wondering whether people use the chatroom on here, on the sister site or both (or neither)?
I am happy just posting on forums but was curious...

I also use the chatroom and again thats often in the evening, I'm afraid some of us that use to be in there every night have gone over to the MSN dark side, but we do try and invade the room, especially on a Friday night, when things do get a little silly. If your brave enough please feel free to join us...although leave the door open it gets a little hot in there..x
Lol - I cut my teeth in 'hot' chatrooms!
I will keep an eye out for the BM chat room banter but unfortunately by the time I am finished working on my PCs and able to concentrate on a conversation it is normally the early hours of the morning. However, I will watch the chatrooms for a while to see if I can 'cope' before I jump in....
Thanks for the info!
Hello All - I was just wondering whether people use the chatroom on here, on the sister site or both (or neither)?
TC I use the BM chat room some times, it's not as busy as it used to be. Quite a lot of us used to go in regularly about 9 - 9.30 pm-ish, it doesn't seem so busy these days. I haven't used the BC chat room since B M got its own.
For folk who are new to chat rooms it's probably best to start on MSN or yahoo and just chat with one person for a while, to get some typing speed up. A lot of newbies tend to feel overwhelmed by the speed of the chat in a chat room and not being able to keep up.
BM chat room has the advantage that you can see who's chatting before logging in. With BC you've go to log in first and then find out who's there - possibly a bit nervewracking for a newbie.
Thanks Kwak! I enrolled in BC at the same time as I posted the original question.
I used chat rooms years ago for quite some time (but mainly chatting to non-Brits) and got fed up with the immaturity and the hostility that crept in so I quietly slipped away.
From what I have seen I can't envisage this being a problem on BM so maybe it is time to dip my toes again.
I will observe first though...
Lol - fair point....
(I meant immaturity from 12 year olds hiding behind pseudonyms and false profiles)
I agree that it is very useful to see the Current Chat on BM - is there anyway to see who is logged in to the chat room before entering too?
No TC you can't see who is in chat before entering the chat room, not unless they're chatting then you can see as they type.
Altho you can see who is on line it's not always accurate as it's stated that I am on line when I haven't been, I guess there's a delay on the log out thing-a-me-wotsit lol
I to used to use the chat room a lot, its how I've made a lot of friends on BM and got to know others too, always handy before meets..
I too have hovered over to the dark side (lol @ scary) of msn, not necessarily for any reason other than we can talk about what we want, how we want and a lot of my new friends have left BM, or are leaving, so its our way of keeping in touch afterwards. Me and a few others occasionally sign into chat to see if we can get any banter going again or anyone else coming in, afterall, its a great way to gain an impression of someone before you meet up. Also if no one uses it or starts it how can we gain back what seems to be lacking at the mo - no one willing to start the chat in the first place...... or thats the impression I have anyway. I loved those mad nights of silly banter and often would be crying with laughter at the screen. Got to say it got me through quiet nights and don't know what I'd have done without it last year. How about we decide a time, say 9.30 for anyone who fancies late night banter ?
