Event: 'Ride the Wave' Poker Run

'Ride the Wave' poker run and party.

Registration prior to the run is a must.

It’s a tried and trusted concept using a poker format (we are not gambling or contradicting any gaming or licensing laws) with five check points over a distance of 64 miles, where the participating riders pick up the cards to build a hand over the course of a 6 hour ride, between the hours of 11am - 5pm.

£5 to enter.

Riders turn up and then move on at selected stops to collect their cards, they have six hours to complete the run and get to the party.

All the stops are cafes, where you can relax and enjoy yourself.

First choose one of three Check points (marked in blue on the map, these are open from 11am and close at 3pm), where riders must register prior to commencing and where you collect your first card.

Then you ride to either of two other stops (marked in green on the map) to collect the other four cards necessary to complete your hand.

Finally heading for Selsey where the party entertainment kicks of at 4pm.

The last hand must be in by 5:15pm at the latest.

The winner will be announced around about 7pm
Best hand wins.

The event closes at 9pm.

There will be overnight camping on Sunday, after the event, for those requiring it, for an additional £5 at an independent venue about ½ a mile from the party site with full on-site facilities, including a social club at no extra cost.

This event is open to the public and we have a co-operative of 9 motorcycle clubs, known collectively as The “Primary Chain”, running and marshalling it in co operation with the RNLI on a route devised by us in co-operation and approved by the relevant Surrey and Sussex Police forces.
