POLICE IN AUSTRALIA have are set to throw the book at a motorcyclist for riding a motorbike while drunk, with no helmet, no lights, a flat tyre and, just to cap it all, attempting to perform wheelies in the face of oncoming traffic.

Darwin Police arrested the 18-year-old man after a high-speed chase yesterday.

"He was deliberately swerving back and forth across the lanes and also trying to perform wheel stands with a police car behind him," said Duty Superintendent Rob Farmer.

Sounds just like the good old days outside The Grey Goose in Nottingham.
