not really a m/bike thing, but bike related,i ride a bianchi road racing pushbike with clip in shoes, coming to a set of traffic lights with a row of traffic stopped at a red,i decided to ride between the traffic and pavement to the front of queue, upon getting to the front, hit a gully and every thing just went wrong, lost control of bike ,couldnt unclip my shoes to put my foot down and just toppled over, upon looking at first car driver who was laughing his bollocks of with a dolly bird in passenger seat my face turned very red very quickly, and i had no full face helmet to hide it,i nthen had to try and unclip my shoes from pedals, not easy when your lying on the floor, and get back on bike then ride off and see a few car drivers pass me laughing.

That's a crackin story mate, made me laugh out to myself. You push bike riders do my head in (in the nicest possible way of course !) but you never seem to get your cum uppance lol
I was 16 at college around 3 months after I bought my scooter and it had been raining the past week. I was on my way home and so was everyone else so the whole college was at rush hour all the classes coming out and I thought Ooo let's roll the bike down 1 metre of grass it wasn't much whats the worse that could happen? so I just roll down without accelerating and before I know it the bike whips it's back end out and slides down the 1 metre piece of grass hill. I was there with bike on floor and my skid mark on the grass and everyone looking at me like.. 50+ people laughing even my own friends and other bikes going home, so I just whipped it up and drove off and fast as I could.
Was sooo embarresing, class never let that drop nice picture of where I fell off.
i was so ashamed to see the filth come pouring of the bike during its 2nd only wash the other week, not the same as all the fallin off stories i know, i have no shame on that score but i was truly embarrassed at the state of it. really must make an effort to look after it!
I shall feel smug and virtuous then Julie, after washing the cack from rally site I went a bit over the top on cleaning and now posses what is probably the cleanest and shiniest SpeedTriple in the land.
What an excellent thread! Reading some of the tales of woe made me feel better about the last day of my DAS, the night before my second attempt at the test. We had been out riding all day, and as we entered the riding school place, our instructor said "one quick U turn and we'll call it a night"... off I went... and promptly fell off whilst attempting the U turn! In front of everyone and all the instructors!
When I was rescued (giggling hysterically)... my instructor suggested that I take the test the next day on a 125...
Happy to report that I passed on a 500... and to this day still can't do a U turn!
Hehe...
I said to a blokey mate the other day, "God knows what I would do if I dropped my bike.. I'd never in a million years pick it up" His reply was, "Simple, don't drop it in the first place!".... fair enuff!
